I’ve had the opportunity to meet some really amazing people for this ONE ON ONE series. This interview is focused on the man behind my favorite one-eyed monster; no, not that one but Craig Redman of Darcel Disappoints. Craig gave me the tour of his Lower East Side studio and we spoke about some projects he’s been working on along with a bunch of other things. Enjoy!

I recently had the chance to interview Sandra Gering at her gallery in the historic Crown building in Midtown Manhattan. She spoke to me about everything from opening her first gallery over 25 years ago in her house in Oyster Bay, New York to her morning routine and everything in between. She also gave me and every up and coming artist out there some words of wisdom! Sandra Gering has an amazing eye for art and an equally amazing out look on life. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did working on it, it truly is one of the best I’ve had so far!

The New Museum recently had an opening ceremony for their new exhibition entitled “The Ungovernables“, we were happy to attend. The 2012 New Museum Triennial will feature thirty-four artists, artist groups, and temporary collectives—totaling over fifty participants—born between the mid-1970s and mid-1980s, many of whom have never before exhibited in the US.

The exhibition title, “The Ungovernables,” takes its inspiration from the concept of “ungovernability” and its transformation from a pejorative term used to describe unruly “natives” to a strategy of civil disobedience and self-determination. “The Ungovernables” is meant to suggest both anarchic and organized resistance and a dark humor about the limitations and potentials of this generation. Exhibition will be on display until 4/22/12.

Kendra Morris an amazing singer, collage maker, and interior decorator, who graciously invited us over to her apartment, in the East Village, to do a Q&A. We were speechless once we stepped into her sparkling, emerald green-walled apartment. It was jam packed with deer, moose, fox, bird, and turtle taxidermy. We also had a chance to meet her fun-loving, arm-humping dog, Taco, and super-chill turtle, Melvin! Despite all the mind-blowing things I saw in her apartment, I managed to focus in on the interview and let me tell you – it was a great one!

I’ve been friends with Felix for a few years now. If you live in New York City you probably have seen his chalk-drawn faces along the sidewalks and on the floors of the subways. He is an amazing artist and person filled with true, almost unbelievable, stories of his life. I had a chance to catch up with him at a bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. He spoke about upcoming projects, the reason for the faces he draws, and his thoughts on life and relationships. Enjoy!
